Event Planner, Event Coordinator

I would love the opportunity to work with you, bringing your event idea to life. Need it be a birthday party, baby or wedding shower, an all-day (or more than one day) workshop event, award ceremony, wedding or corporate event — I can make it happen. Want someone organized, reliable, a hybrid of a multi-tasker and problem solver whose full of positive energy throughout your event to be behind the scenes for all or part of the day? I’m your event coordinator.

I bring eight years of corporate event planning, event planning for both a two-day workshop and an awards ceremony. I also organized my own wedding and assisted as a wedding coordinator for one wedding reception.

Experienced working remotely for eight years from Cary and/or Raleigh, NC for an annual event held in Greensboro, NC. Also planned my own wedding in nine months from Raleigh, NC held in Jamestown, NC. Open to working in the Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill area. But would also be open to events in Greensboro, NC; Melbourne and Orlando, FL.

As the event organizer, I work with internal and external exhibitors in coordinating the exhibit halls for the Baptist State Convention of North Carolina (BSCNC) Annual Meeting. I work individually with exhibitors in the purchase of their booths and organizing their needs with a third-party exposition company. In working with that third-party exposition company, I confirm the pipe and drape set-up for each booth is consistent with the BSCNC exhibit layout. For two days I walk the convention floor answering questions and assisting where need be. At the end of the convention, I confirm all of the booths are broken down and that all invoices are paid in a timely manner.

As the on-site event coordinator for the wedding reception, I worked with the restaurant, Caffe Luna, to present the bride’s desire for the room layout and serving her reception.Worked behind-the-scenes so the bride could enjoy her day with a seamless and enjoyable afternoon for her guests. Closed the event by confirming all left over food, gifts and the bride’s personal items and vendor items were returned to their proper places.

 

VideoMakers Workshop,

Worked with the Creative Team at the Baptist State Convention of North Carolina in conjunction with Providence Baptist Church, Raleigh

As the event planner, I organized the catering for Friday night’s dinner and Saturday’s lunch with videographers, producers, writers and editors from across North Carolina. I decorated the area where the panel discussion and video screening took place. And I Organized the speakers for the breakout sessions. Finally, I was the person behind the scenes to answer any questions prior, during and after the event.

Event Coordinator

As the event coordinator, I organized and prepared prior to the event. Once the date was chosen, I worked with the vendor in organizing the food, audio/visual support, providing the necessary tables and chairs for dining and additional areas such as the registration desk and awards area.

In addition, I worked with a printer to donate the programs and located volunteers for the photography, reservation desk, raffle tickets and drink tickets. I also worked alongside the webmaster to set up a form using EventBrite which assisted with creating the name tags.

In closing the event, I wrote the STC Event Coordinator Process for future members and volunteers that is still being used in 2016.
